Uhuru

Named after the class of battleship of the USS North Carolina, the BB-55 Rocker takes cues from naval design. The forms of the base and seat reflect the curves of the hull and the bridge tower. Its steel frame transitions to walnut legs, maintaining a traditional rocking chair's interaction between wooden rockers on the floor. Black cotton webbing is woven to form the seat and backrest.
